What We Offer

The Arts Award program offers a variety of qualifications to help individuals aged 25 and under develop as artists and leaders in the arts. It encourages them to engage with and participate in the wider arts community by taking on challenges in various art forms, such as fashion, film making, pottery, and poetry.

By participating in Arts Award, young people can earn a nationally recognised qualification that opens up opportunities for further education and employment.

Arts Award is only available in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Arts Award is not available in the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Republic of Ireland or internationally.

Minecraft is a highly creative and versatile game that allows players to express their artistic talents in a variety of ways. From sculpting and architecture to designing skins and creating music, the game provides a platform for artistic expression across various art forms.

Players can also showcase their skills in landscape design, creating intricate and beautiful virtual worlds. The possibilities are endless, allowing players to explore their creativity and push the boundaries of what is possible within the game.

Whether it's building elaborate structures or crafting stunning landscapes, Minecraft offers a unique and immersive creative experience for players of all ages.

We use Padlet so that young people can display their art work in a way which is interesting and creative. Below is an example of what a Padlet might look like for the Discover Award.

The Arts Award Explore is a regulated entry-level award in the arts, moderated by Ofqual, designed for individuals under the age of 25, with a focus on ages 7 to 11. It requires approximately 25 guided learning hours and 10 independent hours to achieve. The program covers various aspects, including taking part in the arts, exploring the work of artists and arts organisations, creating artwork, and sharing one's exploration. The Silver Arts Award is a level 2 qualification in the arts, available to anyone under 25 years old but primarily targeted at 14 to 16 year olds. It requires 60 guided learning hours and 25 independent learning hours, and involves completing an arts challenge, reviewing arts events and experiences, researching arts careers, and developing leadership skills through running an arts project. This award provides a well-rounded and practical experience in the arts, encouraging young people to explore their creativity and develop valuable skills for their future. With its focus on both practical and theoretical aspects of the arts, the Silver Arts Award offers a comprehensive and enriching experience to young participants.

The Bronze Arts Award provides a Level 1 qualification in the arts, equivalent to a GCSE 3-1. It is open to individuals under 25 years old, but is specifically designed for those aged 11 to 14. The program includes 40 guided learning hours and 20 independent learning hours. Participants are required to take part in the arts, review an arts experience or event, research an artist or craftsperson, and pass on arts skills to others. This award offers young people the opportunity to explore and develop their creativity and artistic talents, while also gaining valuable skills and experience in the arts.

This certification, although not a regulated qualification, is certified by Trinity College London. It is open to individuals under the age of 25, but it is primarily aimed at children between the ages of 5 and 9. The program covers various activities such as taking part in the arts, experiencing artists' work, and sharing your discoveries.

It provides a great opportunity for young children to explore their creativity and develop a love for the arts.

We completed the Discover Art Award with Funtime Games which was the first project with adult feedback my child had attempted after leaving school. She thoroughly enjoyed it and the support she received, and achieved her certification.
